What is Credit Score?
- Credit Score is a free service available to JFCU members through online and mobile banking that features financial tips and education to help you understand the factors that make up your credit score and ways to improve it. Credit Score also adds another level of credit protection by providing real-time credit monitoring alerts.
How often does my credit score get updated?
- Your score will be updated every 7-days and displayed in online/mobile banking.
What if the information does not appear to be accurate?
- If you believe some of your information to be wrong, you can obtain a free credit report from www.annualcreditreport.com and then dispute inaccuracies with each credit bureau individually. You may also click on the "Dispute" link with your credit report directly from the Credit Score platform.
Will logging into or accessing Credit Score negatively impact my credit?
- Credit Score is considered a "soft pull" which does not affect your credit score. Lenders use "hard pulls" to make decisions about creditworthiness when you apply for a loan. If you apply for a loan with JFCU, we do not have access to your score within Credit Report so we would use our own lending criteria for making decisions.
